Tajikistan, new cotton slow cotton market momentum

In September, Tajikistan's New cotton market was slow to go public, but this did not affect the strong export momentum of Tajik cotton. In the same month, Tajikistan's new cotton market volume decreased by 65.8% from the same period of previous year, only 5,000 tons. In the first two months of this year, Tajikistan's new cotton market volume totaled 5,600 tons, a significant decrease of 64.4% over the same period of last year. However, in the same month, the country's cotton exports surged 96.7% to 5,900 tons, while the total export volume in the same year reached 13,800 tons, an increase of 200% over the same period of last year. Although recent data indicate that cotton production in Tajikistan will decrease this year, it is believed that there will be no problem of supply and the volume of exports is also expected to increase steadily.
